Family Reunions
Gather your clan for a fun-filled family reunion they’ll be talking about for years to come!  We have lodging options to fit every budget and size of family, from camping to huge rental homes.  Cook meals on your own or sit back and relax while dining at one of our restaurants.  All ages will enjoy the wide variety of activities (ranging from easy to adventurous) available just outside your cabin door.

Scouting
We love hosting Scouting groups… many of us are Eagle Scouts ourselves!  Scouts are always welcome on any adventure, but here’s a few of their most popular choices: 

            2-Day Whitewater Merit Badge Trip
            This overnight river/camping trip will prepare Scouts for their initial whitewater experience by introducing the skills and equipment required, with an emphasis on safety and self-protection.

Religious Groups
Looking for an interesting way to fellowship with your youth?  Or perhaps you need an adult retreat to recharge and rejuvenate spiritual batteries.  Experiencing outdoor activities together is a wonderful way to have fun and bond as a group - teamwork, trust and perseverance are required to complete challenges successfully!   You’ll find all the tools you need to make sure your message is delivered.

Schools
Educational groups from both pubic and private sectors have enjoyed outdoor adventures with us for more than 30 years.  Many of our guide staff are full or part-time educators themselves!  Whitewater rafting is the most popular activity providing faculty the opportunity to focus upon teambuilding, U.S. history and natural history in an entertaining environment.     

Corporate
Break out of the (boring) boardroom!  Teambuilding goals and objectives can easily & naturally be reached when everyone is playing together in the great outdoors, with the sun on their cheeks.  If you prefer a more formal approach, we have a professional facilitator on staff that can customize a teambuilding program to fit your specific needs (and yes, you’ll still have a lot of fun!).
       
Weddings
You might be surprised how many weddings we have at Class VI-MR every year.  It’s a beautiful place to say “I do”, no doubt!  While a hearty few do get married while on a river trip, most choose Smokey’s on the Gorge as their venue.  Smokey’s provides full-service catering to go along with those spectacular views of the New River Gorge. Brides & grooms also love having multiple on-site lodging options, activities and amenities that their friends & families can also enjoy during their stay.   

Military / Firefighters / Police
Military and Safety personnel (and their families) are always welcome.  Whether you’re here for certified water or ropes rescue training or on your summer family vacation, you’ll enjoy discounted activities, adventures, meals and lodging with Class VI-MR! 

Colleges/Universities
Looking for a place to host your formal Greek event or an activity to sell as fundraising for your club?  You’ve found it at Class VI-MR!  We’ll help you organize a fun-filled event everyone will enjoy and stay within your budget.  New for 2009, Alcohol-free camping facilities are now an option.
 
Bachelors & Bachelorettes
We’ve seen a number of ‘soon to be married’ folks who opt for a thrill-packed adventure getaway at Class VI-MR.  Sure, you can enjoy the ‘traditional festivities’ if you wish, but many are choosing something else instead: a weekend of adventure with their best buds… and maybe, well… a little of the other too.
