Lower Gauley

West Virginia's Lower Gauley offers white water rafting and rapids similar in nature to those found on the Lower New River- but in a quantity significantly greater (proving that age-old theory that 'if some is good, more is better')! With Class VI's private and strategically placed put-in point on the Gauley River, we are one of the few commercial outfitters that provide a full 16-mile Lower Gauley white water raft trip. This section is a real treat for those adventurous first-time rafters, as well as a favorite of most seasoned boaters -- wonderful wave trains and roller coaster rides, big holes and spectacular scenery. It is also the perfect prelude to the world-renowned Upper Gauley River.
