Class VI Policies
PLEASE READ CAREFULLY
TRIP DEPARTURE TIME:
It is recommended that you arrive at least 30 minutes before your "Trip Departure Time" in order to check-in, complete the liability form and change into your river clothes etc, or 60 minutes if you are eating breakfast at Smokey's. After checking in, enjoy our complimentary Starbucks coffee and juice served in Chetty's Pub. Chetty's also offers a variety of breakfast items a' la carte. We reserve the right to cancel your trip without refund for late arrivals.
LIABILITY:
Before participating, everyone is required to complete a liability
form which includes a release, waiver of liability and assumption of
risk and indemnification. If you or anyone in your group would like to
see the liability form in advance, we will be glad to mail or fax you a
copy. You can also view or print the liability form by going to:
http://www.class-vi.com/downloads/adult_releaseform.PDF. A river trip has certain dangers that could cause injury including, but not limited to, the possibility of death by drowning. Class VI River Runners,Inc., AAARafting and Class VI, LTD. will not accept liability for personal injuries or damages to equipment except as required by law.
MINORS:
ALL MINORS not accompanied by a parent or legal guardian must bring with them the day of the trip a Class VI release form signed by their parent or legal guardian. Without this form, the minor will not be allowed to participate. If this applies to you or your group, please call to request
a liability form or download our liability form from our web site.
WHITEWATER RESPONSIBILITY:

INSURANCE:
Class VI does not carry medical or loss insurance for our guests. If you want to purchase short term travel insurance including medical, baggage, accident or trip cancellation protection, please call your insurance agent.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR YOUR GROUP:
Class VI recommends that everyone in your group be familiar with our
literature, trip(s), format(s), policies and risks. We have a specific brochure for each product. You or your group can find most of the information on our home page (www.class-vi.com). It is your responsibility, as the group organizer, to see that everyone in your group is familiar with our literature and policies. RESERVATION PAYMENT POLICY:
When making an online reservation the full payment is due before your trip will be reserved. We accept Visa, Master Card, Discover, American Express or Diner's Club.
TAXES, SERVICE AND RIVER USAGE FEE
Included on your invoice is a 6% West Virginai sales tax for goods an services. The New and Gauley Rivers are managed by the Division of Natural Resouces and the National Park Service. Commercial outfitters are charged by the DNR a usage fee which is included in the $3.00 service usage fee on you invoice.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
All on-line reservations can be cancelled at any time. However, we
reserve the right to enforce the cancellation policies listed below.
Reservations cancelled by the required cancellation time receive a
refund less a $25.00 PER PERSON processing fee.
ACTIVITIES CANCELLATION POLICY:
All activity reservations must be cancelled 30 days prior to the trip date. Reservations cancelled less than 30 days result in full forfeiture of payment.
LODGING CANCELLATION POLICY:
All B&Bs, cabins, chalets and cottages must be cancelled 30 days
prior to your arrival date. Hotels must be cancelled 72 hours prior
to your arrival date. Lodging reservations cancelled on less than 72
hours notice, will result in full forfeiture.
SUGGESTED MINIMUM AGES:
Upper New - 6
Lower New - 12
Dueling Rivers/Fall Lower or Upper Gauley/Spring-Summer Gauley -15
Fall Gauley Marathon or Double Upper - 16
TRIP CHANGES:
Class VI River Runners, Inc. and Class VI, Ltd., due to water and/or
weather conditions, etc., reserve the right to change: river, river
section (s), raft size, departure time, number of guests per raft,
paddle power to oar power and vise versa, or the length of trips.
SPLITTING GROUPS:
Our intent is to minimize splitting groups or adding additions parties to a raft. However, Class VI reserves the right, for safety and efficiency, to fill each raft the morning of the trip by splitting groups in order to fill our T-6 raft with 6 or 7 guests and our T-8 rafts with 8 or 9 guests, unless you book the entire raft prior to the trip date. We also reserve the right to move you to a different size raft the morning of the trip if the there are not enough guests to fill the raft.
