Half and One-Day Whitewater Rafting in West Virginia's New River Gorge
The New River Gorge is quintessential West Virginia white water rafting. There are two different sections—the Upper New and the Lower New. Beginners and families with children as young as age 6 will love the Upper New River, with it's long pools for swimming and long wavy ripples that add just a touch of excitement. The Lower New River is the real white water classic, though, with rapids to class IV (class V in the springtime).
Want a bigger ride? Try a smaller boat. 6-person raft = $150/boat/day. 4-person raft = $200/boat/day.
