One Day Kayak Instruction

Season Minimum Age Skill Level
 Spring, Summer, Fall  10 Years  Green Circle and Up

Start out by meeting your instructor for the day and discussing what your expectations are. From there, you'll choose your kayak and gear from some of the newest designs on the market today.

Once you arrive at the river, you'll start out your progression in flatwater and gentle current to help you get a feel for the sport. Where you progress from there is up to you! We've redesigned our kayak school from the ground up with you in mind, so come along with Class VI and find out what whitewater kayaking is all about.

What to Bring

  • Wear synthetic blend of clothing
  • Secure Footwear—either tennis shoes, water shoes or river sandals NO FLIP FLOPS
  • Wear the basic swimsuit, shorts, shirt, and then build from there for the weather
  • Sunscreen
  • Hat or visor
  • Sunglasses with chums 

Extras

  • Wetsuits may be rented if the weather is going to be cool or overcast for the months of Spring or fall.
