We strive to ensure that all facilities are in good repair and working order, however, there may be an occasion when an amenity is unavailable or is out of order or breaks down during occupancy. We will do our best to make repairs or replacements, but if neither is reasonably possible due to time or availability of parts or service, we cannot guarantee these items and we cannot make refunds based on circumstances beyond our control.
Cancellation Policies
Our rafting capacity is limited by state regulations. It is not uncommon for us to reach our daily maximum and have to turn others away. When we accept and confirm your reservation that portion of our limited capacity is then unavailable to other groups. Many of the costs associated with your trip are committed long before you arrive. Food, insurance, staffing, vehicle and equipment rentals are all paid in advance. These costs are unrecoverable if you cancel. For this reason, we strictly adhere to our cancellation policies. Late cancellations and no shows are therefore ineligible for any type of reimbursement.
Cancellation Procedures
All cancellations must be received in writing via USPS mail, email (info@adventuresonthegorge.com, subject “cancellation request”) or fax (304-574-4906). All cancellations must be made outside of the 30 days prior to the trip start date to be considered for reimbursement less a processing fee:
$25 per person during rafting season
$50 per cabin for the Outback and Deluxe Cabins on the Gorge
No-shows on the day of a trip or cancellations within 24 hours of the start date will not be considered for any reimbursement.
We do offer vacation cancellation insurance. This helps to protect you if you need to cancel your vacation due to probable cause defined as medical, deployment, accident or transportation delay/accident. Please review our cancellation insurance details.
Additional Activity Cancellations
Some of our adventure activities are booked through outside vendors, such as horseback riding, mountain biking and ATV tours. These activities require all cancellations to be made within 30 days of a trip to be considered for a refund. If you cancel with less than 30 days notice, you will be charged the full rate for the activity.
Outside Lodging Cancellations
We work with many partners on cabin and vacation home rentals. There is no refund or raincheck available for cancellations to these properties with less than 30 days notice. Refunds or rainchecks with more than 30 days notice will be based on our ability to re-rent these properties.
Our partners strive to ensure that all facilities are in good repair and working order, however, there may be an occasion when an amenity is unavailable or is out of order or breaks down during occupancy. They will do their best to make repairs or replacements, but if neither is reasonably possible due to time or availability of parts or service, we cannot guarantee these items and we cannot make refunds based on circumstances beyond our control.
