What's it like to BASE jump the New River Gorge Bridge?

Bridge Day 2012 promises to be one for the history books! Of course, we'll be hosting the acclaimed Taste of Bridge Day the night before the festival, plus we'll have free shuttles to get you as close as possible to all the BASE jumping action. This year, the folks at Bridge Day plan to continue tandem BASE jumps, and they're adding something insane—the human catapult! Don't miss it! Want to watch the jumpers from the river? How about rafting on the Lower New with a stop below the Bridge to watch as jumpers fly from the roadway 876 feet directly above you? Want to party later that night? No problem, we've got stompgrass gods, The Wild Rumpus, playing at Rendezvous Lodge Saturday night!
