Dueling Rivers 2 Day

Which is Better, the New River or the Gauley? New River Gorge, West Virginia Whitewater Rafting, Plus Lodging and Dining

Gauley River! New River! Tastes great! Less filling!

It’s an argument as old as the hills—which river is best? Well, why not decide for yourself in one weekend of whitewater wildness? Raft both world-renowned West Virginia rivers with this lodging and meal getaway. This is a great package to gain personal insight into the nuances and characteristics of each river without missing a beat back at base camp.

Depending on water levels and conditions, you could end up in a raft, a duckie or both for a one-of-a-kind whitewater adventure. Add 2 hot country breakfast buffets and 2 riverside lunches with the lodging of your choice and this package is the ultimate whitewater rafting thrill-seeker’s weekend. If at end of this getaway, you still haven’t had your fill of raging rivers... you probably should have been a raft guide!

What is a “Getaway?”
Class VI Getaways are easy-plan mini-vacation packages designed to get you doing the things you want to do at a discounted rate and with minimal fuss. We’ve pre-built these trips for you, so that all you have to do is pick your lodging and your meals.

Tell me more about the lodging options!
Whatever you like! If you’d prefer to camp under the stars, we have that available in two campgrounds—one more suited to families and one with more liberal quiet hours. If you like the idea of camping, but you don’t have the equipment for it, we have everything from platform tents to primitive bunk houses with nothing more than walls, a roof and electricity. We’ve got Mountain Cabins, too, which are a step up. They have private bathrooms, heat, AC and efficiency kitchenettes. Outback cabins are a little more swanky and have more amenities, and Deluxe Cabins—with 2, 3 or 4 bedrooms are even better with amenities such as wi-fi and hot tubs. Still not sufficient? Check out any of our luxury vacation homes, such as Paddle House, which sleeps up to 12 in high style and sits literally on the rim of the New River Gorge.
